Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2026 kick off
The Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge, or QVIC, contributes to the development of the domestic high-tech community by identifying and nurturing potential startups within the national innovation ecosystem.
The program focuses on products and solutions in key technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, edge computing, 5G, the Internet of Things, robotics, smart cities, automotive technology, and other areas while leveraging the power of Qualcomm Technologies’ advanced mobile platforms and technologies.
Through intellectual property registration incentives, startups participating in QVIC have filed over 200 patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial design applications over the past five years.
With a vision to position Vietnam as one of the leading technology innovation hubs in Asia and globally, QVIC proudly serves as a proactive platform that helps activate and develop the domestic innovation ecosystem. From its inception, the program has received strong support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, sharing the commitment to transform Vietnam into an innovation-driven country.
QVIC 2026 is structured as a professional, year-long program running from October 2025 to September 2026, aimed at supporting technology startups and the innovation ecosystem in Vietnam from the ideation stage to product commercialization.
Startups participating in QVIC 2026 will receive the following benefits: support for intellectual property registration and consultation, technical assistance and product development, training on intellectual property, business coaching and mentoring, incubation support along with valuable awards totaling up to 410,000 USD, and opportunities for domestic and international business networking and promotion.
The Organizing Committee announced that from October to December 2025, the program will open for applications and organize workshops in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. Startups can submit applications online via the QVIC website.
From January to February 2026, the pre-selection phase will take place, selecting 30 outstanding projects from the startup community and the innovation ecosystem.
From March to April 2026, the incubation phase will be conducted. The 30 selected projects will participate in training programs on intellectual property, business development, and receive financial support for intellectual property registration.
From May to August 2026, the acceleration phase will begin. The top 15 projects will receive specialized technical support, advanced business training, and funding to develop their products.
In August 2026, Showcase Day will take place, announcing the top three outstanding projects along with two special awards.
September 2026 marks the post-program support phase. QVIC will continue connecting potential projects with commercialization opportunities, exhibitions, customers, partners, and investors within Qualcomm’s global network.
